Position Overview

The ESIA Expert will lead and support environmental and social impact assessments, ensuring compliance with national and international environmental standards and regulations. The role involves conducting fieldwork, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and preparation of comprehensive ESIA reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) for diverse projects.
  • Perform field surveys, baseline studies, and environmental/social risk assessments.
  • Engage stakeholders, including local communities, governmental authorities, and NGOs.
  • Develop and review Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs).
  • Ensure project alignment with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank guidelines, and local regulatory frameworks.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for project approvals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience conducting ESIA in various sectors (e.g., infrastructure, energy, mining, bulk chemicals).
  • Proficient knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and World Bank Environmental and Social Framework.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred

  • Professional certification or accreditation related to ESIA (e.g., IAIA membership).
  • Experience working with international clients or organizations.
